Say Cheese

school.png

Finally!! The moment I’ve been waiting for. A good school picture! I can’t begin to explain the level of joy and excitement this brings. Yes, my friends and family think I’m weird…but hey, they just don’t realize how hard it is to get a good photo of this child. And she’s so darn cute (at least we think so!) you’d think it would be easy. But she HATES having her picture taken. Believe me, for each good shot, there are at least 50 bad ones. Imagine what it was like back in the “Stone Ages” -before the miracle of digital cameras- when you actually had to purchase film and then pay to have it processed. Ugh…to think of the money we spent! Those were some expensive photos. Anyway, hats off to this school photographer 😀

P.S. – I’m also thrilled that her hair is growing back!

  1. I agree – that’s a great photo! I wonder what they did to make her laugh?

  2. Beautiful picture! She is very cute 😉

  3. This is a great picture of Jessica and I can totally relate to this! I tried maybe twice to have Andrew’s picture done professionally. I was always dissappointed. This year they had 2 picture days at school. He was sick for the first one and the second one I didn’t send money because I wasn’t interested. A few weeks later they sent home some pictures and I was shocked! The best professional shot of him ever! His hands were down away from his face, he was smiling…I couldn’t believe it and, of course, had to buy the whole lot of them! Andrew’s just turned 7 so I didn’t have to wait quite as long as you did, but I suspect it will be a long time before we get so lucky again.
